Roblox Regulations
By joining Dutch RP ER:LC you automatically agree to the server rules below. If a rule is not listed you are still expected to use your common sense.
These rules are in effect at all times. Rule violations will be handled by the staff team with penalties that may vary depending on the situation and discretion of the staff member. The moderation team also reserves the right to take actions that they deem appropriate.
1.0) Follow Roblox Legal Documents
Since our community revolves around Roblox, it is mandatory to follow the Roblox Legal Documents. You can find them below:
2.0) Stay Respectful
Always be respectful to all members within our server. This means treating everyone equally, regardless of race, religion, orientation, or disabilities.
3.0) No Fail Roleplay (FRP)
Fail RP occurs when you or someone else breaks the immersion of the roleplay. This includes ignoring rules, behaving unrealistically, or breaking character.
3.1) RP Voice Channels
Make sure roleplay voice channels stay on-topic and in-character. If you want to speak Out-of-Character (OOC), use the designated OOC voice channels.
3.2) Be mindful of Fear of Life (FOL)
Treat your character’s life as valuable and irreplaceable. Prioritize your own safety by reacting to threats, avoiding reckless behavior, and recognizing danger (e.g., running away from gunfire). If your life is threatened, but you outnumber the attacker(s) in armed forces, the FOL rule does not apply.
Examples: ❌ "1 person tries to take 2 armed people hostage" → This is not allowed because the victims are in the armed majority. ✅ "2 people take 1 armed person hostage" → This is allowed since the victim is in the minority. ✅ "2 police officers arrest 2 armed people" → FOL still applies here because police have the upper hand.
3.3) Be mindful of the New Life Rule (NLR)
If your character dies during RP, you may not return to that RP or location. Exception: Emergency services may return to the location if they are called back via emergency button or support request.
3.4) Avoid Metagaming
Metagaming means using information your in-game character couldn’t have obtained in a logical way (e.g., from a livestream, Discord, or OOC interactions).
4.0) No Random or Vehicle Deathmatch (RDM/VDM)
RDM: Opening fire on players without reason or purpose.
VDM: Ramming, hitting, or running over players without reason or purpose.
5.0) No Powergaming
Powergaming is unfairly forcing outcomes in RP without allowing the other player to react or respond. Examples: ❌ “/me knocks you out and immediately cuffs you” → The other player has no chance to react or RP back. ✅ “/me tries to punch you with my fist” → You then wait for the other player’s reaction, so RP stays fair.
6.0) No RP Avoidance
RP avoidance means leaving the game or resetting to escape RP situations. Examples: Arrests, shootouts, or hostage scenarios.
7.0) No Baiting Police
Do not bait the police by circling them or provoking them unnecessarily.
8.0) Realistic Avatars
Ensure your avatar looks realistic. This includes but is not limited to: skin tone, accessories, invisible body parts, and more.
9.0) Realistic Driving
Driving must always be realistic. Keep FOL in mind and don’t break traffic laws without RP justification. Crash RP: If you crash into something or get PIT maneuvered by police, you must stop and play out the RP. Exception: If no fire department is in-game, you don’t have to stop after a crash (as long as it’s not VDM or completely unrealistic). In a PIT, stopping is always required.
10.0) Staff Cooperation
Staff instructions must always be followed and respected. If a staff vehicle pulls you over, you must stop. Avoiding staff can lead to severe penalties.
1.10) Roleplay Requests
You must request a border, road maintenance, or police check from the available staff members using !mod.
12.0) Police-Specific Rules
12.1) Police procedures
Follow the given police procedures given in Procedures (EN)
12.2) Deadly force usage
Deadly force should only be used if you, your colleagues or civilians are in direct danger.
Use verbal commands before opening direct fire.
12.3) Cuff ussage
Players may only be cuffed if they’ve committed a crime that warrants arrest (e.g., attempted murder, illegal weapons possession, theft, robbery, etc.).
Players who are an active threat should not be cuffed. They can be cuffed when they don't pose a threat anymore.
12.4) Hierarchy
DSI takes the lead in incidents where they are deployed. This includes but is not limited to: armed robberies, suspects with firearms, and hostage situations.
KMar takes the lead during police checks and borders.
